What this show is
It's a Jungle is edutainment, not medical advice. Talk to your GP before changing anything about your health.
It's a Jungle is journalism about health, not the practice of it. Susan Stone is a broadcaster with twenty years in media, not a clinician.
The Citation Shield
Everything we publish about your body sits behind one rule: a claim is only as good as the source you can see.
In episodes and interviews, every health claim is attributed to the named guest who made it, with their credentials stated on their expert page. You always know who is telling you something and what qualifies them to.
In our own explainers, we write as reporters, not as clinicians. Where we describe what the evidence says, we link the primary source — the study, the trial registry, the guideline — so you can read it yourself rather than take our word for it. We do not paraphrase a headline about a study and call it a finding.
What we never do is issue advice in the site's own voice. We report what is known, who found it, and how strong it is. What you do about your own health is a conversation for you and your doctor.
Medical review
We have no named medical reviewer at launch, and we would rather say so than imply an oversight that does not exist. The Citation Shield is what stands in its place: attribution to named experts, and primary sources you can check.
When a reviewer is appointed, this page will name them and their registration, and reviewed pages will carry their name and the date of review.
How experts are chosen
Guests appear because of what they know. Every listing in our experts directory is editorial — marked Featured guest — and cannot be bought. There is no paid placement and no per-referral arrangement of any kind.
Articles published elsewhere
Susan's written features appear on RTÉ Lifestyle and remain there. Our article pages carry our own framing and link out to the publisher; we do not reproduce another publisher's text.
Affiliate links and gifted products
Some links earn us a commission. Every one is labelled Ad where it appears and marked rel="sponsored" in the page code. The label is not buried at the foot of the page.
A commission never buys a recommendation, and we do not publish prices or images pulled from retailers.
